Plea to find Torquay Good Samaritans
A GRANDFATHER is trying to trace two schoolboy Samaritans who came to his aid when he fell ill on his mobility scooter.
David Thomas, 78, (pictured) was on the verge of hypothermia when the two boys, aged about 10 or 11, noticed he was in trouble. An ambulance was called and the two boys stayed with him until it arrived.

Mr Thomas, a retired nurse, said: "They are a credit to themselves, their schools and their families."
Mr Thomas explained he was on his way home from the Lodge Day Centre in St Marychurch, Torquay, at about 4.30pm on November 29 when he started having breathing difficulties.

He stopped in Hatfield Road and put his hazard warning lights on to alert passers by that he was in trouble.
Mr Thomas said: "I was getting colder and colder and more out of breath, but did not have the energy to get the oxygen going.
"These two boys who were on the opposite side of the road called out 'Are you OK'. They came over but could not get the oxygen tank I use going but they used their own mobile to ring for an ambulance and they flagged down a police car.
"They did such a good job, I am so grateful and I would like to offer them a reward for all their efforts."
Mr Thomas explained that when paramedics arrived, he was wrapped in a foil blanket and told that he was on the verge of hypothermia.
Mr Thomas said the police officer returned the scooter more than a mile away to his home in Mount Pleasant Road. He was treated in hospital for 24 hours.
Mr Thomas said: "I would like to thank everyone, the good Samaritans, the policeman and the paramedics."
He said he has already tried to trace the school students with schools in the St Marychurch area, but without success.
