Police appeal after Torquay hit-and-run smash
POLICE this afternoon issued an appeal for witnesses to a head-on car crash which happened in Torquay last friday.
At around 1pm on Barton Hill Way a grey Rover ZR MG car collided with a red Nissan Note and then went on to hit other nearby vehicles.

The driver of the Rover fled the scene on foot and despite searches by police units - including the police helicopter - he has not been located.
A passenger in the Rover sustained injuries in the collision and has undergone surgery at Torbay hospital.
