Police in appeal after another arson attack on car in Torquay
POLICE are appealing for the public help stop a spate of arson attacks on cars in Torquay.
The latest incident happened in Warberry Road West in the early hours of Friday, October 12, when fire crews were called to a burning Renault Clio parked outside a house.
Detectives have made house-to-house inquiries in the area in an attempt to solve the arson attacks mainly in the Ellacombe and Plainmoor areas.
In July, police said they were investigating possible links between two incidents in two days which left five cars damaged in Braddons Hill Road East and Lower Woodfield Road.

DC Sarah Briggs said: "There have obviously have been other similar incidents but it is unknown whether or not they may be linked at present."
She has appealed for witnesses and anyone with intelligence about who may be committing the crimes to contact police.
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting crime reference ST7346.

“Welcome to the central Torquay ghetto, twinned with South African townships.”

“...and I think you'll find that the public are appealing to the Police to stop a spate of arson attacks. The public are appealing to the justice system to stop offenders including arsonists from serving their sentence in the community. And the public are appealing to the local council to stop rehousing criminals in the centre of Torquay and treating drug addicts and alcoholics in the centre of Torquay.”
