Police helicopter in search for man at Hay Tor
THE Devon and Cornwall Police helicopter was used in the search for a man missing from the Newton Abbot area on Sunday.
The aircraft took off from its base in Exeter at 1.40pm after reports that the 'high risk' missing man was using a vehicle.

A spokesman said: "His welfare was of immediate concern."
The helicopter searched from Newton Abbot towards Bovey Tracey before receiving new information and directing the search to the Hay Tor area.

The crew quickly located the vehicle and were able to confirm that the missing man was inside.
They directed officers on the ground to the vehicle to look after the man inside.
