RYAN Porter and Paul England both hit hat-tricks as Buckfastleigh Rangers kept their promotion hopes on track with a 9-0 trouncing of Division Two stragglers Kingsteignton Athletic Reserves.

England's first-half goal was all that separated the two sides at the interval but Dave Scholz's men ran riot in the second period, with Stuart Mitchell and Nathan Isaac also on target.

HERALD Cup semi-finalists Hookhills United kept their 100 per cent Division Three record in tact with a 4-1 away win over title rivals Bovey Tracey Reserves.

Both of the Bradley brothers were involved as Hookhills took a 22nd-minute lead, with Carl being fouled in penalty area and Ross dispatching the spot-kick, before Ross Bushin restored parity.

Bovey had no answer to John Young's second-half effort, though, as the visitors went onto notch twice during the last five minutes to seal victory.

Ian Collis drove into the top corner from 30 yards, with player-boss Stuart Ironside predicting that he'll never score another goal like it in his career, before Ross Bradley grabbed his second of the game.

Also in this division, Teignmouth Reserves' revival continued in emphatic fashion as they hammered Dartmouth 3rds 7-0. Sam Chapman was amongst the goals with a treble.

BEN Harper helped himself to four as Ilsington Villa leapt up to third place in Division Four with a 7-1 humiliation of Newton United Reserves. Simon Westwood, Steve Bone and Chris Stocker also netted.

IPPLEPEN Athletic Reserves edged a seven-goal thriller against Chagford Reserves in Division Five.

Strikes from Dan Rogers, John Doyle and Jimmy Lunt, along with an own goal, proved just enough for the Pens to take all three points.

Chagford, for whom Chris Woof bagged a brace, had also benefited from an opposition player putting through their own net.

BISHOPSTEIGNTON United avenged their divisional cup exit at the hands of the same opponents as they overcame Bovey Tracey 3rds 4-2 in a Division Six 'six-pointer'.

Dan Jones, Olly Bycroft, Dean Liddle and Seb Shaw netted for leaders Bishop, who are now 10 points clear of second-placed Bovey.

Tom Mitchell and Darren Morgan replied.

ANDY Towell's first-half strike was enough to see off Buckland Athletic 3rds and take Denbury Athletic through to the final of the Les Bishop (Division Four) Cup.

Towell smashed home from six yards to earn Denbury – for whom goalkeeper Toby Creber was shown a straight red card after the final whistle for retaliation – a clash with Babbacombe Corries, who thrashed Stoke Gabriel 3rds 5-1 in the other last four tie.

Dan Lawton (2), Dan Sumat, Hedley Crossman-Emms and Craig Corcoran netted for Corries, with Paul Hutchings' notching Stoke's consolation.
