Powell last man standing after Trueman's 'unfair' exit
PAIGNTON ABC boxer Dylan Powell is tonight hoping to progress to the next round of the National Senior ABA Championships when he fights for the Western Counties middleweight title.
Powell is facing Weston-super-Mare's Liam Hunt at Henbury Social Club in Bristol, in a bout rescheduled from last weekend.

A victory would put Powell into the quarter-finals of the national amateur competition, having already secured the Three Counties title a fortnight previously.
But Powell's club-mate Mike Trueman will not be joining him in competing for a Western Counties strap after losing his box-off for the Three Counties crown last weekend.

Welterweight Trueman lost in controversial style against Kieran Phipps (Oakmead ABC) at Combe Martin last Saturday – with judges giving the verdict to Phipps despite awarding Trueman more points overall.
With one judge scoring the fight 12-9 to Trueman and another giving it to the Bournemouth fighter by 10-9, the verdict came down to the last judge, who scored it 8-8.
But the scoring system meant it was the final judge who was left to decide the winner based on who he considered had 'led-off' more.
The judge decided that had been Phipps, and he was awarded the majority decision.
The verdict was a shock to Paignton ABC coach Paul Guy, who believed his man was a clear winner.
"Mike won the fight but lost the decision," said Guy afterwards.
"As there are no draws in amateur boxing, if they end up with an equal score they have to decide who led off most.
"But if you added up the points Mike had won.
"It's a totally unfair way of scoring a fight. It's very disappointing. Mike looked the winner as well – he was walking the other boy down, and we thought he had won it easily.
"Even the referee came up to me afterwards and said 'I thought your boy won easily'."
Trueman is aiming to get back to winning when he takes on Barnstaple ABC's Nico Faassen in a bout at the Berry Head Hotel in Brixham this weekend.
