Power stay top as Palace join title race
Sunday football round up, with Rod Martin.
A change of guard has Palace Place Boys FC thinking they can make a late bid to muscle in on the title race, after recording another big win. The Boys have bolstered their troops with some quality signings and now feel ready to attack the top end of the table. Hat-tricks for both Stuart Bowker and Jules Emati, together with Richard Frost's double and a Luke Barton penalty helped Palace to an 8-2 victory over Torbay Wanderers at Cricketfield Road.
Indian Ocean FC are next to visit Palace Place at White Rock.
League leaders Wheel Power FC bagged another 3 points in a comfortable 10-3 win over Indian Ocean despite Lewis Harvey-Judd's treble at Paignton Community College. The Power goals came from Ryan Hare (4) Chris Srdinko (2) Mike Srdinko, Robbie Bowker, Steve Bowker and a Carl Cliff Brown penalty. Chris Srdinko also had a penalty saved by Ocean's stand in keeper Ollie Sagols.
