THE discovery of a pram and a three-quarter length black Puffa coat in an isolated part of Cockington, Torquay, sparked a police search yesterday afternoon.

The two items were discovered in the orchard behind Cockington Court yesterday at 3.35pm and a police car and helicopter searched the area.

Inspector Andy Oliver said reports of concerns for welfare were treated seriously.

He added police were not looking for anyone and there had been no reports of anyone being missing at the time.
