STAFF at Bramble Down Nursing Home in Denbury will be able to enjoy the great outdoors at break time thanks to a group of youngsters.

Members of the Prince's Trust team programme for 16-to-25 year olds spent a week of their community project at the home clearing a garden.

There are three teams currently being run in the Torbay area — in Newton Abbot, Brixham and Torquay — on a 12-week personal development course delivered by the TTS Group.

The Newton Abbot team is led by Natasha Edwards and her assistant is Nikki Thompson.

They cleared overgrown areas on the unused garden area and levelled it off ready to be grassed.

They painted fences and helped to build and outdoor shelter for the staff to use for tea breaks.

Susan Cooney, the home's activities co-ordinator, said: "The team worked very hard and we are very grateful to them."
