Jonathan Holmes, TMS property director, said: "This is a first for TMS and, indeed, Sovereign Housing Association which has historically managed its developments through its own in-house management team.
"As the leading independent Association of Residential Managing Agents in the South West, we work with many housing associations across our geographical area. However, this the first time we have been selected to manage a development on behalf of a social housing landlord.
"It is an exciting partnership for both organisations and we are thrilled to be working with Sovereign on such a significant development within Torbay."
TMS will work with Sovereign to agree on-site services.
Lucy Hoare, TMS's designated property manager for Beechfields, added: "Prior to the handover of the first building, Beechfield House, we will be liaising with local cleaning contractors, fire risk assessors, fire equipment maintenance contractors and a host of other trades in preparation for first occupations later this year."
Kevin Dey, director of intermediate housing at Sovereign, said: "We were impressed with the services that TMS could offer and are very keen to form partnerships where there is mutual benefit.
"There is much that we can learn from each other through joint management on this mixed tenure site."
When finished, Beechfield will total 144 properties. The homes are expected to be available from next month.
