Pupil wins place at Big Bang finals
A SOUTH Hams student has won a place in the finals of the UK's National Science and Engineering Competition 2013.
Jake Rankin, from Kingsbridge Academy, excelled in the regional heats of the competition with a project about a contemporary chair designed to compliment the current range of furniture sold by Peter Betteridge.

FINALS: Jake Ranking from Kingsbridge Community College
Jake will now represent Devon at the finals which will take place at The Big Bang Fair at London ExCeL next March.
There it will be seen by 60,000 visitors and he will come face to face with top celebrity judges in a Dragons' Den-style pitch process.
