Pupils are budding novelists
BANK robbers, crazy scientists, vampires, wild animals and even a talking beef burger were among the characters created by inventive pupils from Eden Park Primary School Academy.
Youngsters at the Brixham primary school were asked by the local library to create a series of books based on imaginary characters, which they had to create themselves.

More than 100 Year Five and Six pupils took part and spent six weeks writing about their characters in a variety of genres including biographies, play scripts, instruction texts and stories.
The children illustrated their writing and then compiled all of their work into individual 'books', each consisting of up to 40 pages, which is now on display in Brixham library, but for a limited time only.

Headteacher Ken Kies said: "The children's books were a delight to read and had so many original and creative ideas.
"What seems to have fired the children up was the encouragement to create their own characters and to really use their imagination. The children shared their books with parents during an open morning and enjoyed the chance to show off their high quality work."
