SCHOOLCHILDREN fed up with dog mess in their street have launched a campaign to crackdown on lazy owners.
The youngsters at St Marychurch Church of England Primary and Nursery School, Torquay, have made posters to remind people to clear up after their pets.

Karen Thomson, deputy headteacher, said: "The children have been very upset about this problem, especially as it's around their school.
"They were coming to school with dogs' mess on their shoes and decided something had to change.

"The school council took on the campaign and have learned they can take action for positive change when they all work as a team.
"They feel strongly it's not the dogs who are at fault, but their owners. They are hoping people will read their posters and make some changes."
Sydney Daldry, the co-chairman of the school council, made the posters and, with the help of fellow members, posted them in Hartop Road.
The children were joined by a neighbouring resident, ward councillors Ray Hill and Pete Addis, community officer PC Lee Metherell, staff member Peggy Phillips and Karen Thomson.

“Yes let's use school children to enforce what the council, the police and the courts won't do.”
