THERE wasn't a pen in sight at Newton Abbot College when it took part in a national day aimed at improving verbal communication earlier this month.

As part of No Pens Day, staff and students didn't use pens for a whole day.

This verbal exercise involved being given a random object, which they had to create a sales pitch for.

They then created a presentation to persuade their target audience to buy the product.
