Road closed after Brixham crash

THE main road in and out of Brixham was closed last night after an accident at Strawberry Bend.

The two-car accident happened at around 5.30pm.

A fire crew from Brixham was sent to the scene.

No-one was trapped in the vehicles, but one of them had a ruptured fuel tank.

Firefighters made the vehicles and scene safe.

Traffic was diverted around the scene using the Kennels road at hillhead.

The last vehicle was recovered from the scene at around 8.30pm and the road was re-opened by 8.50pm.
