Rockers The Quail headline hometown welcome for Tour of Britain cyclists
TEIGNMOUTH rockers The Quails are headlining a music festival to be held in the town on the day the Tour of Britain cycle race holds a stage finish there.
The on-the-up group will top the bill at the event held as one of the UK's biggest sporting events rolls into town on Tuesday, September 14.

Thousands of spectators are expected to descend on Teignmouth when 100 professional riders, including star names Bradley Wiggins and Geraint Thomas, arrive in the town from 2pm.
Sporting display events will take place throughout the afternoon on The Den and the free music festival, with a licensed bar, will start at 4pm.
The music festival will be a celebration of talent from Devon including The Dambuskers, Woodwalker, The Cadence and The Quails.
Returning to headline in their hometown, The Quails have had a busy summer playing at more than 20 festivals in the UK and Europe including Glastonbury, Latitude, Gold Coast Ocean Fest and Chagstock.
Last year they supported Muse on the Friday night of their Seaside Rendezvous gigs.
On Thursday they are travelling to London to perform a live set on Janice Long's Radio 2 show.
A Quails spokeswoman said: "The Quails always love to come back to play in their hometown and are looking forward to welcoming a new audience into Teignmouth.
"This is a great opportunity for Teignmouth to let the wider community see once again that it is a hotbed of good musical talent."
