In bright, sunny weather the volunteer crew launched The Baltic Exchange III to assist the 10-metre Padstow registered fishing vessel Fiona Mary (PW160) which works out of Brixham.
After repeated attempts to dislodge the net from its propeller by the fishing boat crew, the Salcombe lifeboat arrived on scene at 8.15am and passed a tow line across and started to tow her back towards to Salcombe.

The Salcombe all-weather lifeboat returned its mooring at 11.10am.
