JESSICA Schoeneberg was Oddicombe Swimming Club's star at the Imps Gala held at the Pyramids pool in Exeter.

Schoeneberg had a fantastic gala which yielded five first places. She won the nine-year-olds' 25m fly, 50m backstroke, breaststroke and front crawl and was a member of the 4x25m individual medley.

Lucy Clark put in some top performances. In the girls' 10-year age group she won the 50m backstroke and breaststroke and swam in the 4x25m Individual medley winning team. She had second places in the front crawl and fly.

Ross Owen won three events in the boys' nine year age group. His wins were in the 25m fly, 50m backstroke and 4x25m Individual medley.

Tonitia Williamson won the 11 year breaststroke and George Gibson the 12-year fly.

The final race, the 16 x25m cannon proved one of the highlights with Oddicombe snatching victory in an exciting finale.

The winning team consisted of Schoeneberg, Clark, Alfie Payne, Owen, Williamson, Izzy Buckley, Ben Greenwell, Adrian Lipton, Hannah Owen, Verity Pengelly, Toby Schoeneberg, Matthew Lipton, Elizabeth Bremner, Phoebe Pengelly, Gregg Andrews and George Gibson.

Kingsbridge (259.5) won the gala with Exeter A (220) second and Oddicombe (204) third.
