AN ENGLISH teacher turned novelist has had her latest book published.

Belinda Seaward, a South Devon resident who has worked as a part-time English teacher in Torquay, has just seen her second novel, The Beautiful Truth, hit the shelves.

The Beautiful Truth tells the story of Catherine, the daughter of a Polish man who disappeared when she was a child, who is happily settled in Cambridge — until she receives a letter from an American filmmaker in Krakow.

The correspondence sends her on a journey into her own history and will, eventually, change the course of her life.

Ms Seaward has taught English part-time at Torquay Boys' Grammar School. Her journalistic career has included working on national newspapers the Daily Mail and the Sunday Times.

She lives in South Devon, where she spends time raising and training Arab horses.

Her first novel Hotel Juliet was described as containing 'richly descriptive escapism' by Daily Mail critics.

The Beautiful Truth is available in bookshops and online, priced from £12.99.
