Silver Explorer pays a call on blooming Dart!
DARTMOUTH welcomed a new visitor when the cruise ship Silver Explorer paid a call.
She was originally built in Finland in 1989 as the Delfin Clipper and has been owned by Silversea Cruises of Monaco since 2007.
After a refit she was renamed Prince Albert II in 2008 and then early in 2011 renamed Silver Explorer.
Herald Express shipping correspondent Rodge Musselwhite said she is the oldest and smallest in the Silversea fleet of six ships, with 66 cabins for 132 passengers. She carries a crew of 117.

The Silver Explorer is on an 11-day 'Blooming Gardens and Medieval Castles' cruise to the Scillies, Ireland and the Scottish Isles.
The cruise started at Portsmouth, with calls at Lyme Regis, Dartmouth and Tresco before going on to Ireland.
