Social Cricketers Wanted
A local social cricket club is looking for new members for a busy programme of matches through the summer of 2012.
The Cavendish Cavaliers, who are based at the Cavendish Hotel in Torquay and who play their home games at Babbacombe, would like to hear from any cricketers of any ability level who are more interested in having a laugh and a good tea than winning. The Cavaliers are unofficially titled the 'Worst Cricket Team in Devon' and have a Latin motto, Inefficax Fidens, which approximates to 'nobly incompetent'. Since forming four years ago, they have travelled the length and breadth of the county playing and losing against virtually anyone who would play them, but always with a smile on their faces. Like-minded people are always welcome to join.
