South Brent Caring aims to support elderly, isolated and vulnerable people in the parishes of South Brent, Rattery, Diptford and North Huish by matching a volunteer for befriending or ongoing support.
A range of other public services partners will be joining the Information Fair to provide details about the work they do.
Partner organisations attending include Citizens Advice Bureau, Devon & Somerset Fire Service, Transport to Health, Devon County Council’s Disc (Devon’s Family Information Service), Action on Hearing Loss and the Community Voluntary Service – among others.
With changes to welfare and benefits starting from April, staff from the district council’s Housing & Benefits team will also be on hand for a chat.
They will be able to give information to working age people about how the changes may affect them.
The Information Fair will be run on a drop-in basis so there is no need to book an appointment.
Residents are encouraged to pop along and browse. They can even enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee!
