VIDEO: South Devon racer Locke leads in France
SOUTH Devon bike racer Jon Tiernan-Locke started the second day of the Tour Mediterraneen in the leader's yellow jersey today after upsetting the sprinters to win yesterday's opening stage.
South Hams-based Locke, who is a member of the Mid-Devon club, is a member of the Endura Racing squad. He took the stage with an attack on the uphill finish in Meyreuil in the South of France.

Locke jumped clear of the peloton and held them off in the finishing straight.
Wintry weather meant that the day’s original route had to be modified, with two planned climbs that might have suited Locke replaced with lesser slopes.
Locke is a noted climber, and thrilled local fans with a triumphant climb of Haytor (pictured) on last year's Tour of Britain.
Today's stage will take the riders from Salon de Provence to Martigues. The race ends on Sunday.

Gone and won the last stage and the overall classification.
Beat some good riders (Navarro, Garzelli plus other pro tour.). Very good win. Congratulations.”
