The National Trust South Devon Countryside team has identified a range of improvement work including fencing, new waymarkers, installing drainage and new pedestrian gates.
At Ayrmer cove, a section of path and fence needs moving inland away from the cliff edge due to coastal erosion.
"This work will make the paths more accessible for everyone and ensure walkers safety," explained National Trust Ranger Emma Reece.
"We are really pleased there is an opportunity to carry out this work, which will be greatly appreciated by the many walkers that love this section of coastline."
The South West Coast Path Association is undertaking a large number of improvement projects to sections of the entire coast path, ensuring it is safe and accessible all year round. They are inviting the public to join them in this cause, by walking a section as part of the Great South West Walk.
Walkers can join in the South Devon walks on any days from 15th – 21st of April to walk half day or more. Join the National Trust Rangers and South Devon AONB team for the legs on 18th and 19th April through the Salcombe to Noss Mayo sections. For information on how you can register to walk one or more legs please visit: www.greatsouthwestwalk.co.uk The registration deadline is Monday 4th March.
