Special tribute to lifelong Torquay United supporter Frank Ward
A SPECIAL Plainmoor tribute is to be made on Friday January 11 to lifelong Torquay United fan Frank Ward, who has died at the age of 93.
A memorial plaque bearing his name is to be put up at the ground where his ashes will be scattered.
Frank never missed a home game and cycled to the ground.
He could always be seen wearing his scarf in the yellow and blue colours of the Gulls and would hitch a lift to the games with a friend when he became too frail to cycle from his home in Preston.
