NEWTON Abbot Spurs boss Paul Dyson hopes to be able to pick from a full-strength squad for the first time this season for their trip to Appledore on Saturday (3pm).

Spurs sat at the top of the table going into last weekend's Devon Premier Cup first round, and continued their form with a 5-1 win over North Devon League outfit Barnstaple AAC.

Adam Dyson scored a late hat-trick – finished with a lob from the edge of the box – to add to earlier goals from Russell Brooker and Tom Sercombe.

But Dyson Snr admits the return of the four players missing last weekend – James Clarke, Tim Porter, Joe Andrews and Jake Chisholm – gives him a dilemma over his first-choice team.

"To be honest I haven't decided it yet," he said. "There are two or three positions that I will have to give careful thought to. It's a nice situation where you can pick from more than one player."

Midfielder Marc Revell is the only potential doubt and will undergo a late fitness test to see whether he has recovered from his groin injury.

"It's a long trip up there and it's not the easiest pitch. Everyone who will play against us now will want to beat us because we're top of the league."

TOTNES and Dartington are replaying their Devon Premier Cup first round clash against Chaddlewood Miners on Saturday (2pm) after it was called off last weekend.

Heavy rain made the pitch at the Foxhole Sports and Social Club ground unplayable, meaning the tie will be played this Saturday instead of Totnes' home clash against Crediton United.
