Stoke Gabriel hosts South Hams civic service
A picturesque South Hams church was the venue for a special Civic Service organised on behalf of the District Council’s Chairman, Cllr Rosemary Rowe.
Dignitaries and representatives from the local community gathered at the Parish Church of St Mary and St Gabriel in Stoke Gabriel on Sunday, October 21, 2012.

Prayers were said for the District, its commerce and industry. Cllr Rowe gave the first reading from Romans 13: verses 1-7.
Reverend Gareth Evans, priest in charge of Stoke Gabriel, conducted the service.
