Students remember the Holocaust
TOTNES students will take part in a role-playing horror story as they remember the Holocaust and the murder of six million Jews.
The whole of King Edward VI Community College's Year 9 will be taking part in the day of events to mark today's Holocaust Memorial Day.
Part of the role play will involve the youngsters standing as they listen to the German national anthem and the Nazi flag is raised.
Those that refuse will have to kneel on the floor in front of the theatre while others are taken away for 'special processing'.
The morning role-playing sessions are designed to bring home to the youngsters the full horror of the Nazi regime which carried out one of the worst genocides in history.
They will also be able to watch films before lighting candles to the memory of those who died and taking part in a two-minute silence.
Staff from the primary schools across the Totnes area have also been invited to take part in the workshops and presentations.
