Sun plays its part in golf day's success
GLORIOUS weather and an excellent turnout made for a great day's golf at the rearranged Teign Valley Charity day, in aid of Rowcroft, writes Owen Walpole.
The event, organised by the men's senior section, saw 44 teams take part, playing in a Stableford.
Victory went to an Exminster trio of Jeff Clark, C Thorne and M James (83).
The leading Teign Valley side comprised of Len Thomas, Andy Anderson and Stan Jones (79).

Longest drive and nearest the pin competitions added to the enjoyment and helped to ensure that the day was a roaring success.
The sum of £1,900 was raised and captain John Balchin and treasurer Brian Tozer thanked everyone for their generous support.
