Sun shines on theatre's production
LAST month saw one of the biggest community theatre productions mounted in South Devon in years, Unleashed Theatre Company's production of Children of Eden.
The production's director, Martin Harris, said: "We were incredibly fortunate with the weather as we had bright sunshine all week and we had fantastic audiences for every performance.
"This was probably the most ambitious project we have mounted and we had people coming up from Cornwall, Exeter and across South Devon to be in it.
"I have had so many cards, emails and messages from people who found it moving, thought-provoking and extremely entertaining.

"People were blown away by it. I have to pay tribute to the Community of Monks at Buckfast Abbey who commissioned us to produce Children of Eden as it absolutely fulfilled what they set out to do: to bring people together from different communities to produce something inspirational and I thinks that's exactly what they achieved."
Building on the back of this, Unleashed Theatre Company are now looking for actors to appear in two productions they are producing next year.
Today a workshop is being held at Barton Baptist Church, Barton Hill Road, Torquay at 7.30pm.
At this workshop the two productions will be launched and details will be available for several other opportunities.
Martin said: "We are looking for actors and people to work backstage. Although Unleashed has a strong Christian ethos and the productions we present have a clear message, we welcome anyone who would like to get involved."
