Teacher bids farewell
AFTER 20 years as head of seniors at Tower House School, Bill Miller has retired.
His efforts were recognised at a formal prize giving held at the Livermead House Hotel.
Guest of honour, Commodore Simon Williams of Britannia Royal Naval College, was accompanied by his wife Charlotte Williams.
Bill's association with the school began in the early 1980s, when it was known as Chelston Cottage School in Torquay, and he taught geography.

Pupil numbers grew and consequently the school moved. It was re-named Tower House School in April, 1982, when it took over the Marist convent premises, its current site in Paignton.
A school spokesman said: "In the 35 years he has been teaching, Bill has left an indelible mark on the school's ethos, and past pupils will remember his fairness, dry sense of humour and his passion for history, his other specialist subject."
