A TEENAGER charged with multiple breaches of an interim anti-social behaviour order has appeared in court.

Ben Bramall (left), 18, of no fixed abode, appeared at Torquay Magistrates' Court following his arrest on Friday evening.

Bramall pleaded not guilty to two charges of breaching an Asbo issued in November last year.

It is alleged that on January 1 Bramall was in a public place outside his curfew hours of 7pm and 6am. It is also alleged that on March 27 he breached his Asbo by attempting to conceal his identity.

Magistrates were also reminded Bramall had pleaded not guilty to four further charges of breaching the order in November, December and January.

The conditions of the interim Asbo include a ban on Bramall wearing a hooded top or baseball cap in a public place.

Alan Parsons, representing Bramall, made no application for bail and the defendant was remanded in custody until March 31 when he will appear via video link.

Bramall also faced a charge of breaching two bail conditions relating to a crown court appearance in December.

Those charges will also be dealt with on March 31.

After the hearing police explained that Bramall had been arrested while travelling along the M5 on Friday evening.

Police had previously issued an appeal through the Herald Express to locate him and an arrest warrant had been issued in relation to the outstanding charges.

A spokesman confirmed he had been arrested as a result of a routine check by members of the Devon and Cornwall Police near Taunton.
