THERE'S an all-star gig at the Carlton Theatre, Teignmouth in Teignmouth tomorrow night from 7.30pm.

Adam Isaac, These Reigning Days and Hysteria appear on the same bill to provide a real treat for South Devon music fans.

Hysteria are five-piece rock band all aged between nine and 13, and are currently building up a substantial local following.

Singer/songwriter/guitarist Adam Isaac has more than 10 years of experience as a gigging musician and has also built a strong following over the years.

Military Wives in town

THE Military Wives Choir are in concert in the Stoodley Knowle school chapel in Torquay on Saturday night at 7.30pm.

The Cameo Singers, a local, well-known and accomplished choir, will also be appearing.

A school spokesman said: "This is a wonderful opportunity to see a choir who have become a household name through their many appearances on both radio and television and promises to be a total sell-out.

"All proceeds will go to the Pilgrimage Trust and Help for Heroes."

Folk festival line-up

MANY of the artists set to perform at the Dartmoor Folk Festival this summer have been announced.

The local and national artists include Old Swan Band, Brendon Power and Tim Edey, Trio Threlfall, Lauren McCormick Band, Gadarene, Keith Donnelly, Dartmoor Pixie Band, Tony Beard, Entertainingly Different, Dave Wills plus morris and dance teams.

The 36th annual festival is taking place at South Zeal, near Okehampton, on August 9, 10 and 11.

The packed programme features concerts, a ramble on Dartmoor, a ceilidh, folk service, craft displays, dances, a children's festival, a Dartmoor Fayre, music hall, pub sessions and music, song and dance workshops.

Competitions include the Dartmoor broom dance championships and Dartmoor stepdance championships.

Rock and grunge night

LOCAL rockers Mighty Sasquatch, whose set-list includes all the best rock and grunge covers from the 1990s, 2000s and beyond, such as Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, The Cult and Metallica, will play at Pub Alibi on Friday, March 1.
