Councillor Nick Henderson said “I am looking forward to the new Tesco supermarket for a number of reasons, it will greatly improve the centre of our lovely town, the design looks attractive and it will encourage locals to shop in town.
"This will invigorate the town centre and turn it back into a busy town, retaining its good shops that will stock everything to cover the needs of local people. The parking over the supermarket will double the existing number of spaces and also give free parking for at least one and a half hours.”
The Full planning application can be viewed in Brixham Town Council offices Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm and online

“the portion sizes these supermarkets sell seems to get more skimpy as time goes on. YOu think intelligent people would do the opposite and make the quantities larger and more efficient. Im shocked just how puny the portion sizes in the uk are. COmpared to asia where you pay low amounts of money and they give you generous healthy portions of food and that is from street vendors using high quality ingredients. these supermarkets are a disease”
