Torbay bin collection dates changed for Christmas
Householders in some parts of Torbay will be asked to put out their refuse and recycling bins and containers earlier than usual just before Christmas.
Collection dates are revised every festive period, and in many parts of the Bay, TOR2 crews will carry out collections a day later than usual.
However, this year, collections affecting about 25,600 of the Bay's 64,000 households will take place one day earlier than usual in some areas, and two days earlier in others.
Stickers will be placed on refuse bins to advise householders of the earlier collection days and to remind them of the importance of putting out their containers a day or two earlier than usual to ensure their refuse or recycling is collected.

Collections scheduled for Monday 24 December (Christmas Eve) will be collected TWO DAYS EARLIER on Saturday 22 December.
Collections scheduled for Tuesday 25 December (Christmas Day) will be collected ONE DAY EARLIER on Monday 24 December (Christmas Eve).
A leaflet listing all the revised refuse and recycling collection dates, and including useful advice and information on recycling, will also be delivered across the Bay.
Deputy Mayor Cllr David Thomas, who has strategic responsibility for waste disposal and recycling, said: "Although Christmas is still a few weeks away, we feel it is important to start publicising the changes to collection dates now.
"People usually assume that collections will be a day or two later than usual over the festive period and in most cases this is true.
"However, there are exceptions this year, with some collections taking place earlier.
"We are extremely keen to make sure everyone checks their revised dates by looking at their leaflet and reading the sticker if one is placed on their bin.
"We will also be putting all the relevant information on the Torbay Council and TOR2 websites at www.torbay.gov.uk and www.tor2.co.uk
"In addition, local newspaper and radio advertising will be used to publicise the changes.
"Whilst we appreciate many people will have other things on their mind around Christmas time, it is important that they should add 'put the bins out' on their 'to do list' and make sure they do so on the correct day.
"This will be of great help to the hard-working TOR2 teams who provide such a good service throughout the year, and will also prevent any bins not being emptied."
