Torquay United ready to sign Reading defender Angus MacDonald
FORMER GULLS loanee Angus MacDonald is poised to return to Torquay United ahead of Thursday’s loan transfer deadline.
United manager Martin Ling wants the 20-year-old Reading defender back as cover for first-choice centre-backs Brian Saah and Aaron Downes.

MacDonald, who had a spell at United’s League Two rivals AFC Wimbledon earlier this season, made one start and one substitute appearance during a three-and-a-half month loan at Plainmoor during the second half of last season.

Person****ly, I'd be keener to see another striker signed, one with experience, to help take the pressure of Rene Howe and give us more options up front.
I think that Ryan Jarvis has lots to offer, but when Rene is out, we don't have anyone else who can do it on their own, so my thought is....more quality further up the pitch of possible please!
