TORQUAY United’s youth-team has reported back to Plainmoor and will immediately start preparation for a fascinating pre-season campaign.

The club's second-year apprentices have been joined by an eager new intake of players but the first challenge could hardly be greater, as they face a trip to Chelsea, current holders of the FA Youth Cup, on July 14.

This match will be played at Chelsea's Cobham training base and then the young Gulls will return to Devon for two fixtures at Bovey Tracey Football Club.

First, a select youth team from New Zealand will visit on Friday, July 20 and then the young Gulls welcome Reading on Wednesday, July 25.
