Torquay United skipper Lee Mansell is January's top man

TORQUAY United captain Lee Mansell has been voted the January Player of the Month by fans of the club.

The skipper was back to his inspirational best in a month that saw the Gulls record a memorable victory at local rivals Exeter City.

Mansell pipped striker Rene Howe and defender Brian Saah to the top award, and will be presented with his prize before Saturday’s clash with Fleetwood at Plainmoor.

Due to the lack of recent home games, Michael Poke will also be given his December award on Saturday.
