Torquay dementia campaigner Norrms' night with the stars
DEMENTIA campaigner Norrms McNamara had a night with the stars at the Pride of Britain awards.
Norrms attended the VIP bash in London after being chosen as the South West regional winner for his campaigning work.
Norrms said: "It was such a wonderful night, very surreal but wonderful. I was so honoured to represent not just all those touched by this awful disease of dementia but also all in Torbay."
Norrms said he enjoyed a chat with fellow dementia campaigner Fiona Phillips and the cast from TV soap Coronation Street which recently featured a storyline involving Alzheimer's.
