Torquay man charged with murder

A Torquay man has been charged with murder following the discovery of a body at his home on 6 March.

Michael Cole, 56, was charged with the murder of his wife, Susan Cole.

He appeared at Torbay Magistrates Court yesterday and was committed to Crown Court for a preliminary hearing on 22 March 2013. Mr Cole has been remanded in custody pending that hearing.

On the morning of 6 March police were called to an address in Shelley Avenue, Torquay. They found the body of a 54-year-old woman. Michael Cole was then arrested on suspicion of the murder of his wife, Susan Cole, and held in custody.
