On the same afternoon officers from the pro-active unit stopped two men who were reported to be acting suspiciously in the Pimlico area of Torquay.
It is understood the men had travelled earlier the same day.
They were detained at Torquay police station for the purposes of a drugs search.
Police said another similar amount of heroin was found concealed in a bodily cavity of one of the males.
The total amount of drugs seized that day had an approximate street value of £6,000.
Police say they believe the two warrants may be linked.
Acting Detective Sergeant Jason Metcalfe said: "This was a fantastic result and is part of the continued effort in tackling the drug supply in Torbay.
"The supply of class A drugs and the acquisitive crime linked to it is a priority for the police.
"Anyone with any information relating to supply of controlled drugs can call us in confidence on 01803 841614 or call crime stoppers on 0800 555111".
Three men were arrested and interviewed by police in connection with drug searches".
