Torquay police support officers plan 'Channel' row

FOUR police community support officers from Torquay will be undertaking a sponsored row on November 24 to raise funds for the special care baby unit at Torbay Hospital.

Using two rowing machines provided by Winners Gym of Newton Abbot, the team will attempt to row 44 miles -the equivalent of the Dover to Calais crossing - between them.

The event is being held at the gym from 1pm.

The team aim to complete the row within 4 hours and hope to raise £1,000.
