Trader claims roadworks are causing 'chaos'
ROADWORKS in St Marychurch to enable the new Sainsbury's development to go ahead have been causing 'chaos' to nearby roads, it has been claimed.
Leading trader Teresa Van Martens said: "It's chaos. I have had complaints from five people."

A bus stop outside the former GA building (pictured) has been moved and barriers installed around the site.
A Torbay Council spokesman said: "With work underway on the redevelopment of the former GA building in St Marychurch, appropriate public safety measures have been put in place.

"We will liaise with those working on site to ensure any inconvenience to pedestrians and road users is kept to a minimum.
"We have also asked them to liaise with bus operators and the council as works progress over any proposed changes to provision of bus stop and shelters that may be required."
The multi-million pound project includes the demolition of the building and replacing it with a small Sainsbury's store, retail units and four mews houses backing on to Greenway Lane. There will also be mixed pedestrian and vehicular access to the new shops and small parking area.
