The driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident, which happened on Totnes Road near the Devon Holiday Park at about 6am on Monday.

The accident caused police to close the road between Tweenaway Cross and the Falcon Holiday Park for two hours, which caused traffic chaos at rush-hour.

As a result there were reports of drivers stuck in traffic.
