The trust's education officer, Julie Matthews, said: "Red titi monkey babies have a very strong bond with their fathers and dad, Joey, is doing a great job of helping to raise the youngster with mum, Cupreu.

"Titi monkey pairs mate for life and spend much of their time either huddled together, grooming each other, or with their tails intertwined."

In the wild, the monkeys live in the lower canopy of the rainforests of South America and rarely come to ground. They have an elaborate system of communication that includes vocal, visual, tactile gestures and smelling.

The trust supports projects to help conserve the species in its natural habitat.
