UPDATES on key regeneration projects in Torbay will be on the agenda for the second Mayor's Forum.

Job creation and regeneration are the theme of Gordon Oliver's latest forum from 5.30pm to 9pm on Tuesday, October 30, at the Riviera International Conference Centre in Torquay.

He said the forum is an opportunity for all those who are passionate about improving life in the Bay to hear about new projects and future plans from the council and its partners.

The event will also cover updates on how the council is maximising the benefits of the South Devon Link Road as well as updates on the Bay's economic strategy and key projects such as Oldway, Brixham, White Rock, Innovation Centres and harbourside improvements.

It will also look at the work of the Torbay Events Forum set up by mayor Oliver to promote small- and large-scale events across the Bay.

There will be a review of this year's event highlights including the Olympic Torch Relay, jubilee celebrations and English Riviera Wheel and news of plans for next year.

There will also be an opportunity to pose questions to the mayor and invited partners.

Mayor Oliver said: "The evening will be an opportunity to hear about the council's progress on our key plans and activities to regenerate and improve job prospects for the people of Torbay as well as learn some of the new plans we have coming up."
