FORMER Torquay schoolboy Ben Howard is among the nominees for the most prestigious awards in British music.
Teignmouth supergroup Muse are also on the star-studded list of nominees announced for the 2013 Brit Awards.
Howard, who lived in Totnes and attended KEVICC as well as Torquay Boys' Grammar school, is up for best British Male Solo Artist, as well as British Breakthrough.
In the former category he is up against Calvin Harris, Olly Murs, Richard Hawley and Plan B.
