THIS is the first video of Paignton Zoo's newest arrival.

The baby giraffe was born on Valentine's Day, and is being hand-reared by zoo staff after being rejected by its mother.

Staff have been anxiously following the baby's progress.

The as-yet unnamed calf stands at more than six feet tall and is a little brother for Tonda, who was born on February 24, 2010.

He was filmed by White Knight Productions with keeper Jim Dicks.

The giraffe calf's father Yoda came from Givskud Zoo in Denmark, where he was born in November, 2004.

He arrived in Devon in September, 2006.

Seven-year-old Janica came to Paignton Zoo from Duvr Kralove Zoo in the Czech Republic.

The zoo's other female is Sangha, aged six and a half, who came from Liberec Zoo in Slovakia.

They are all Rothschild's (Baringo) giraffes, and are classified as endangered.
