Rude Tiger, whose song Desolate was voted by Q Magazine as one of their top five downloads, were also rated as one of the top 10 must-listen-to breakthrough acts by internet search engine Yahoo.
Busy gigging in their own right, they have also supported Mike and The Mechanics this year.
They sent a copy of their demo EP to Johannes in Los Angeles to see if he would be interested in working with them and recording their debut album.
"It was a long shot as we knew this guy was so well respected, hugely busy and only works with acts he really likes," said Jas.
This week he called back, saying he not only liked the demo but had cleared a space in his diary to produce and record Rude Tiger's long-awaited debut album in December.
"Alain is so well connected and loved by the LA rock music scene and we cannot wait to get started," said drummer D Collings.
"We can't quite believe this is happening to us. It has been such an awesome roller-coaster ride, starting out as The Morris Brothers and then moving forward as Rude Tiger.
"We owe a great deal to all our amazing fans who have supported us every step of the way.
"We know this is such an amazing opportunity and we intend to give it all we've got."
