Vera's 103rd birthday
TORQUINIAN Vera Evans has celebrated her 103rd birthday.
She was joined by daughter-in-law Joyce Gillman and niece Shirley Tyrell from Babbacombe and granddaughter Sara Hope from Torquay.

Sara said: "Grandma continues to astound us all with her knowledge, family history and sense of humour — a truly remarkable lady."
Mrs Evans will be attending her great-grandson's wedding in Hampshire at the end of the month, where there will be five generations from 103 to three months old.

Mrs Evans, has lived in Torquay all her life. She has family across the globe in Australia, France and America.
She owned a bed and breakfast in Babbacombe Road for a number of years.
With her late husband Fred, she had three sons Brian, Alan and Gerald.
